Field of Glory 25mm Romans vs Germans

Well, we had a great time at the RRAW event I talked about on September 14ths Post Field of Glory Miniatures Game Event.

On the 18th of September here in Fargo, ND at the West Acres community room, we lined them up using Hans’ 25mm Roman and German armies, and although early on it looked like the Germans would win the day, we called the game after about 5 hours.  It was still close, but once the Roman Legions hit the German heavy infantry the Germans started to loose units and men fast.

I included some photos of the battle that Ill post at the end, just for some eye-candy. :)

Our gaming group has played two games of Field of Glory now at our local game day, and it is getting a pretty warm reception.  Total combined between our game day and games at home we have played 5 games of Rome vs Numidians or Germans, and 5 guys own the rule book, with about 4 others talking about getting it.

I’m hoping to try another period as well from the Wolves From the Sea army Book.

I have a Big Battle DBA army of Normans and enough troops to field an Anglo-Danes army to battle against each other, so I’m hoping to try out some dark ages action in the very near future.

Well here are some images from the game day, Enjoy!!
